Camera batteries are terrible. Every battery needs a different charger, every camera uses a different battery, and no one shares battery tech/form factor.
I propose the B-Mount Alliance.
What is the B-Mount Alliance? It’s where 1 battery is shared across manufacturers and used in multiple camera models. We can have different battery models based on camera size but all cameras in a size category use the same battery. That way if I have a Canon, or a Sony, or a Nikon I can swap a battery with someone and keep shooting. Gone would be the days of buying batteries for every camera that match nothing else.
What else should we standardize?
USBC, Mini-HDMI, SD Card spec? Share your thoughts on what you would standardize?
